Donor Herd:
Our closed herd of universal donors is subject to the highest animal health standards and receives documented routine veterinary care.

All donors are test negative for:

  • Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA)
  • Equine Viral Arteritis (EVA)
  • Dourine
  • Glanders
  • Brucellosis
  • Piroplasmosis
To maintain herd health all donors are frequently immunized for:
  • Lawsonia intracellularis
  • Equine Influenza
  • Tetanus
  • Equine Herpes Virus
  • Botulism Type B Toxoid
  • Rabies
  • R. equi
  • Potomac Fever
  • Escherichia coli
  • West Nile Virus
  • Equine Rotavirus
  • Salmonella
  • Strep. Equi
  • Eastern and Western Encephalomyelitis
  • Clostridium perferingens Type A, C, & D
LI Plasma Quality Assurance
  • All serials of our antibody products are release tested for EIA.
  • All serials of our antibody products are 100% sterility tested and cultured negative for anaerobic bacteria, aerobic bacteria and fungi.
  • All serials of our antibody products are filtered to be virtually free of red blood cells
  • All serials of our antibody products are collected from universal plasma donors (meeting UC Davis criteria for plasma donors).
  • Each bag of our antibody plasma product has a required and test verified level of acceptable specific IgG content.
  • This confirms:
    • Assured bag to bag uniformity
    • Assured serial to serial uniformity
  • Ongoing safety is monitored and assured through an established reaction reporting system.
